Original 16x20 Abstract Art Acrylic Painting
A Self-Portait of the Mind in Abstract, 2025
I started this painting with no idea where it was headed. By the time I had finished it, I realized it was a good visual representation of what my mind looks and feels like. Bright, bold, and fun. Moments of darker thoughts. Sometimes spiky. A little all over the place.
With thick, textured brushstrokes using a palette knife, I created sweeping, wave-like patterns that flow horizontally across the canvas. The overall effect evokes a sense of movement and depth, as if looking into a swirling, liquid landscape or a vivid, emotional storm—which is often how my thoughts feel.
Measures 16x20 and is painted on stretched canvas. The painting is signed on the front and the back.
Please note, colors may vary slightly between computer/phone screen settings and the actual product.
